Risk control is the central theme of investment and development strategies in financial institutions. It has always fallen within the scope of regulatory policies aiming to set up international and local prudential rules (Basel II, IFRS, MIF, LSF, etc.).
The main stake for banks is to control and manage all their risks (liquidity, market, credit, operational, legal, business, client, etc.) and make use of effective monitoring tools.
OTC Conseil has been at the forefront in this field: definition and implementation of internal models based on VaR, stress tests and other risk indicators, modeling and management of complex derivative products, optimization of calculation processes, of risk management and mappings.
Optimization and Management
In recent years, the STP (Straight Through Processing) method has been used on high-profile projects assisting in large scale implementations such as Front-to-Back to Accounting systems implementation. OTC Conseil has played an active role in this form of cross-over process optimization.
Aside from optimization, we implement our own Financial Management methodology based on a calculated Risk/Performance approach.
In this context we have also managed projects that require financial, IT or strategic organizational changes ie. global implementations and outsourcing.
