R.I.S.K. 2010: Long Term

R.I.S.K.: Long Term

The second annual R.I.S.K., which was jointly sponsored by OTC Conseil, Cartherine Bruneau, Professor at Université Panthéon-Sorbonne, and Isabelle Laudier of l’Institut CDC pour la Recherche, was held in Paris on December 2-3, 2010.

The chosen theme for this year’s event was long-term risk, featuring the guest of honor, Professor Roger Guesnerie, Chair of the Faculty of Economic Theory and Social Organization at the Collège de France.

Following the success of R.I.S.K. 2009, which hosted more than 200 participants, the event served to bring together academics, scientists and high-level professionals seeking solutions and new ideas to the difficulties of long-term risk which they continually confront. The two-day conference engendered partnerships between the two worlds of research and business, and enabled exchanges of viewpoints and approaches on issues spanning the environment, retirement, finance, insurance and industry.

Four sessions were designated to address this topic:
> Methodologies of the long-term: Demographic and regulatory, financial management and growth
>  Retirement financing: Demographic and regulatory, financial management and growth
> Demography and Public Policy: Strategy of local development, migration, regulation and expectations
> The Environment and Business Strategies: Climate, Carbon, Biodiversity
